Wildcat 50k....what it is, and what it isn't

Getting more interest as we are less than a month out.
What this race is...

  • A real event, that will be supported with food and drink at start and mid-point
  • A challenging course. It will be marked.
  • A small fund-raiser to benefit the park.
  • Hopefully a good time.
What this race is not...
  • Expensive. No tee shirts or finishers medals. No chip time. No bibs.  Show up and run.  Make a donation to help the park.  Bring some food to share if you wish. There will be volunteers at the start aid station.  There are park outhouse type restrooms at several locations near start/finish and on course.
  • Complicated. Everybody starts together.  Will have a clock at the begin/end.  Write down your finish time at the end.  I will tally and publish results.
Wildcat 50k is intended to be a low overhead, no muss, no fuss, let's just run and have a good time event.  A little more organized than your weekend training run, but quite a bit less complicated than your average road race.  A way to give back a bit to the local state park where we do quite a bit of training.

Questions? - please don't hesitate to ask.
